Coordinator Commonwealth's Anti-Trafficking Task Force

Attorney General Maura Healey is seeking a highly motivated person to join the Human Trafficking Division as the Coordinator for the Commonwealth’s Anti-Trafficking Task Force. The Task Force Coordinator is a temporary grant-funded position. The Commonwealth’s Anti-Trafficking Task Force is a statewide, multidisciplinary, collaborative approach for combating both labor and sex trafficking. The Task Force is co-led by the Attorney General’s Office (AGO) Human Trafficking and Victim Services Divisions, and the Massachusetts State Police Unit assigned to the Human Trafficking Division. The Task Force includes law enforcement members from the United States Attorney’s Office, Department of Homeland Security Investigations, and the Federal Bureau of Investigations, as well as community Human Trafficking Direct Victim Service Providers. Assistant Attorney General

Attorney General Maura Healey is looking for an attorney to review, investigate, and prosecute civil rights cases in state and federal courts. The Assistant Attorney General could be located in Boston, Worcester, or Springfield (the selected candidate’s preference will be considered) and will be part of the Attorney General's Civil Rights Division. The Civil Rights Division investigates and prosecutes statutory and constitutional civil rights violations in areas such as housing, public accommodations, employment, education, immigration, health care, criminal justice, and marriage and family rights. These cases involve challenging and complex enforcement initiatives, coordination with other state agencies and federal authorities, policy development, and close work with community and advocacy groups. 

Primary Duties: The Assistant Attorney General will review and mediate complaints from members of the public; investigate cases, pursue settlements, and bring litigation; and conduct outreach with community and advocacy groups, including through speaking engagements and attendance at community meetings. This Assistant Attorney General will be particularly involved in the Division’s intake process and participating in and overseeing support staff and interns in investigating, researching, and mediating consumer complaints relating to civil rights issues. The Assistant Attorney General’s job duties may require occasional travel, as well as attendance at events outside of regular work hours.

Information Specialist

Attorney General Maura Healey is looking for a highly motivated individual to join her team as an Information Specialist in the Attorney General’s Information Services Center. The Information Services Center (ISC) answers inbound calls from the public, provides information to callers, and makes internal and external referrals. Primary Duties: An Information Specialist is a public-facing position in ISC and plays a central role in the Office’s handling of public inquiries. Information Specialists serve as the first point of contact for most members of the public who call the Attorney General’s Office (AGO) and are responsible for answering questions, providing information, and making referrals, as appropriate, to other government agencies or community organizations. Information Specialists may also send out complaint forms and other materials to callers, provide explanations and directions to the public regarding the filing, processing, and assignment of complaints, as well as information relating to the work of various divisions. Information Specialists will participate in regular trainings with divisions across the AGO. 

An Information Specialist will help identify opportunities for improving the way the AGO collects and provides information to the public and will work closely with AGO Consumer Specialists in developing information and materials for presentation to the public. An Information Specialist may also work closely with Consumer Specialists, attorneys, and others in the development and implementation of response strategies to situations involving broad or urgent public needs.

Corporate Volunteer Project Manager

Mission: Boston Cares mobilizes and trains individual and corporate volunteers who strengthen communities and improve the lives of people in need. We are the largest volunteer agency in New England, a member of the Points of Light affiliate network and a leader in the volunteer engagement sector. We build relationships with schools and nonprofits with needs that can be filled by teams of volunteers; and then we recruit, train and lead reliable and enthusiastic groups of volunteers to meet those needs. Our year-round volunteer programs and seasonal signature service events engage adults of all ages, children & teens and corporate partners. Since our founding in 1991, Boston Cares have contributed to over 1.1 million hours of service to Greater Boston. Projects include revitalizing learning environments, providing STEM education opportunities to students – both virtually and in-person, painting, landscaping, and carpentry projects to enhance the sites of agency partners, and constructing beds for children in need.

Position Summary: Reporting to the Senior Director of Corporate Engagement and working closely in collaboration with a team of two, the Corporate Volunteer Project Manager will play an integral role in the development and delivery of successful, high-impact service projects engaging employees from Boston Cares corporate partners.
