Mortgage Loan Officer III

Lynn, MA

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Interviewing loan applicants, analyzing credit reports, and preparing and reviewing loan documents.
  • Soliciting residential mortgages through contact with realtors, builders, developers and housing organizations; encouraging loan referrals from retail branch staff.
  • Advising potential borrowers of the specific features of the loan program selected that may impact their future ability to service the debt (such as ARM rate resets and balloon payments).
  • Calling on potential or existing clients to develop new business or retain existing business, both in person and over the telephone.
  • Representing the Bank in various civic community functions to further enhance Eastern's image and develop or promote additional business relationships.
  • Marketing assigned territory to improve market share in the area


  • Strong communication, organization, presentation and time-management Demonstrated sales ability.
  • Proven business development skills.
  • Steadfast integrity and character.
  • Sharp attention to detail.
  • 5+ years of successful mortgage sales experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to generate and close over $20 MM in mortgage production.
  • Knowledge of mortgage lending basic underwriting guidelines, compliance and regulations
  • Bi-Lingual in Spanish is highly preffered
  • Supporting areas like Malden, Everette, Chelsea, Revere
