Construction Project Manager

Boston, MA


  • Coordinates all assigned project construction status meetings, as required
  • Interacts with Consultants, Municipalities, Subcontractors and Vendors to foster and enhance relationships
  • Works with Development, Leasing, Tenant Coordination, Accounting and Finance on new projects to assist with scope development, pricing, schedules and logistics with assistance from outside construction managers as necessary
  • Creates and maintains the project schedule with input from the project team and other entities involved in the project
  • Coordinates the efforts of the project team to make sure that all documents are coordinated and in line with the scope, schedule and budget
  • Communicates the schedule, project issues and solutions to Directors and or VP of Construction operations
  • Closely monitor Project Cost Reports and attend monthly project meetings to inform of variances
  • Defines and establishes Project requirements and Budget
  • Identifies and qualifies potential project exposures
  • Negotiate and report on Contractor Change orders
  • Ensures accurate and timely documentation
  • Make timely and informed decisions to keep project on schedule
  • Coordinates with NED Tenant coordinator and Tenants as needed to ensure timely deliveries

Job Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Working knowledge of construction principles, practices, building systems, and materials
  • General understanding in areas such as: LEED, Building Codes, Plans and Specifications, Entitlements, Due Diligence, Tenant Coordination
  • Excellent listening skills
  • Ability to analyze concepts and data, and constructively challenge ideas
  • Ability to work independently and manage projects semi-autonomously
  • General knowledge and understanding of the corporate goals and development process
  • Ability to maintain composure in high stress situations
  • Computer skills using SharePoint, MS Project, MS Office, Adobe, and Plangrid

Education/ Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or Architecture
  • 5-10 Years of similar Construction Experience
