Primary Duties: The Intake Assistant provides administrative support to staff throughout the Victim Compensation & Assistance Division. Responsibilities include organizing and maintaining files;answering and triaging calls to the Division’s duty line; systematically archiving and retrieving claim files; drafting routine correspondence; data entry of claims; requesting reports from various law enforcement agencies; assisting with special projects; providing general office assistance; and other duties as required.
Position Requirements:Bachelor’s degreeor related experience required. Prior office experience is preferred. Applicants must possess strong computer skills; strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills; and attention to detail. Applicants must be able to work independently, as well as a part of a team. Proficiency in Microsoft Office required. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply. Salary: $38,000 - $41,340, commensurate with experience.
