Financial Analyst-Management Accounting

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Coordinate the monthly update of Axiom and ProfitVision. Using various sources, you will collect data monthly, validate the data, and perform the monthly update process for each of these systems. Once updated you will prepare and distribute various management reports including Business Line, Sales, Board Presentations, and Corporate Dashboards. Write and maintain the operating procedures of Axiom and Profitvision.
  • Maintain and analyze costing rules. This will include understanding and documenting the rules for organizational, product and customer profitability. You will work with line managers to help them understand their costing and make recommendations for changes as well as calculate standard costs for each activity cost driver (ACD).
  • Calculate and prepare monthly allocation entries for expenses that charged directly to the business units.
  • Prepare various reports and queries to assist the SVP of Finance, CFO, and other Senior Managers to better understand the profitability of the organization.
  • Aid in the completion of the annual business plan including prepare shared service costing, prepare the FIS (core data processor) budget for the organization, and assist the VP and SVP of Management Accounting with other budget duties.
  • Duties may evolve over time as needs the needs of the organization change

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline
  • 2-4 years working in the financial industry
  • Solid understanding of Bank operations
  • Strong understanding of Banking
  • Preferred: Experience preparing management reports and familiarity with Activity Based Costing concepts

Skills/Knowledge

  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to work with various management levels in the organization
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office specifically Excel and PowerPoint
  • Data management skills a plus
  • Ability to prioritize multiple deliverables simultaneously
