Marketing Manager

Boston, MA

This is a temporarily hybrid position (a minimum of 2 in-office days ) during the transition from a remote work environment. GBCVB is committed to flexible work arrangements (flexible work hours and some work from home) once we resume an in-person work environment.


  • In collaboration with the Executive Vice President, Vice President of Strategic Communications and Director of Web & Digital Marketing, develops the overall marketing strategy including creative storytelling concepts, digital, video, e-Commerce and print/collateral.
  • Assist in the implementation and evaluation of the annual marketing plan and budget;
  • Oversee content creation and design, overall asset management and ensure brand uniformity;
  • Identify opportunities for community partnership, neighborhood initiatives, and diversity campaigns, and execute such programs;
  • Participation in the creation, implementation, and evaluation of a comprehensive social media plan;
  • Manage all marketing programs and partnerships including Dine Out Boston, seasonal campaigns, co-op, and sponsorship opportunities; develop strategies for new campaigns;
  • Organize marketing activations and events in collaboration with cross-functional departments;
  • Design overall theme and content of e-newsletters for consumers and meeting planners;
  • Establish relationships and a network of industry marketing professionals and vendors.
  • College graduate, preferably in marketing/communications.
  • A minimum of 4+ years of experience with fully integrated and multi-faceted marketing programs;
  • Proven ability to think strategically and execute a multifaceted plan;
  • Experience with content design and creation preferred;
  • Prior experience in destination marketing, hospitality, and/or tourism sector strongly preferred;
  • Ability to work with a team to establish and attain key performance indicators and overarching goals;
  • Strong analytical ability and experience applying metrics to program development and tracking of return on investment;
  • Exceptional written and verbal communications skills to effectively inform and engage internal and external audiences;
  • Extensive knowledge in managing digital channels including web, SEO, SEM, display ads, mobile and social;
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship;
  • Relocation is not provided.
