Social Media Marketing Coordinator

This is a temporarily hybrid (a minimum of 2 in-office days ) position during the transition from a remote work environment. GBCVB is committed to flexible work arrangements (flexible work hours and some work from home) once we resume an in-person work environment.

  • Act as social media lead, establishing a consistent message, build loyal followers, grow engagement and encourage online conversations.
  • Maintain active accounts across key platforms including but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, and LinkedIn.
  • Responsible for scheduling and maintaining an organized social calendar, including events, contests, deals/packages, and special occasions.
  • Collaborate on e-campaigns to amplify marketing promotions and drive web traffic.
  • Monitor content analytics and create reports on overall social performance.
  • Identify and deploy social media trends to further promote Greater Boston.
  • Coordinate and maintain an ongoing and comprehensive image library.
  • Assist with CRM database maintenance, updates, and reporting.
  • Assist with Press Room maintenance.
  • Support the development of social media content to promote sales and services teams.
  • Coordinate an integrated social media forum for employees to share content from events.
  • Participate in marketing strategy development.
  • Assist in design implementation and content creation for all social platforms.
Requirements
  • College graduate, preferably in marketing/communications.
  • Minimum of 3+ years working in social media
  • Experience with brand design preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Social Media platforms.
  • Experience with Photoshop, InDesign a plus.
  • Multimedia production/ photography and videography experience a plus.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
