Events and Event Planning

- Plan and manage all organizational events related to development. Includes but is not limited to our large annual fundraiser and smaller functions like house parties, paneldiscussions and corporate volunteer opportunities

Individual and Corporate Donor Relations

- Collaborate with the Executive Director to create a comprehensive development plan for cultivation and solicitation to reach organizational goals

- Oversee the research of existing and prospective donors in preparation for Executive Director donor visits, support solicitation and coordinate necessary follow-up

- Manage our overall process to expand and diversify support from our individual donor database

-Oversee the management of records and reports in Salesforce database

-Manage gift acknowledgement and other correspondence with donors

Board and Development Committee Management

-As needed, assist the Executive Director in all board relations including communications, board meeting coordination, minute taking, and the engagement of board in fundraising activities

-Serve as staff liaison for the Development Committee, organizing meetings, communicating

with members, setting agendas, and follow-up as needed


-Minimum 2-4 years of experience in nonprofit development or related field, focus in event planning a plus

-Experience with project management and delegating tasks to staff and volunteers to reach shared goals

-Familiarity of donor databases and how they are used to support development

-Highly motivated with a strong attention to detail

-Excellent oral and written communication skills

-Ability to work independently and as a team member

-Positive attitude, commitment to organizational mission and appreciation for older adults and intergenerational work

Compensation and Benefits

This is a full time (approximately 40 hours per week) position with an annual salary range of $55,000 - $60,000. 

Benefits include health, dental, and long term disability, as well as access to a 403b retirement plan, flexible schedule and opportunity for remote work, generous personal time, and supportive working environment.
